COMPANY OVERVIEW
TPS® Systems,
Inc. has been providing software worldwide to numerous industries for
over a quarter of a century. A vibrant company, TPS®
has evolved as technology has changed. From the Series 1 to SNA-centric
software on UNIX® to multi-platform / OS Client
/ Server software focused on enterprise network management solutions,
TPS® has kept pace with the rapidly ever-changing technological
industry. But, unlike numerous of our competitors, TPS®
continues to support our legacy-based customers and provide them with
products that will ease their transition to newer technologies. TPS®
can provide this continuing coverage since all of our products are developed
in-house and the support staff can discuss issues with the developer
of the product.
Over the years, TPS® has
created a broad suite of products addressing connectivity requirements
of users who have a large investment in legacy hardware/software and
wish to preserve it, but need to transition to a Client/Server model
with continued access to centralized applications, data repositories,
and technical support. An example of this is the use of the current
mainframe architecture that employs TCP/IP, but needs to “talk” to
SNA devices downstream. TPS® provides numerous
products to assist in the translation from SNA to TCP/IP and back. This
comprehensive product portfolio is available on a multitude of platforms
and operating systems that include IBM® AIX®,
HP-UX™, Sun® Solaris,
Linux®, SCO®, and Windows®.
TPS® products can handle
multiple protocols such as SNA, Bisync, and TCP/IP as well as 32 and
64-bit processors.
With its long history, TPS® has built a rock-solid
reputation for:
-
Software Solutions - meeting
the quality and functional/technical requirements of large, complex,
business-critical networks for demanding Fortune 500 firms, government
agencies, and other organizations.
- Technical Expertise in:
- SNA, TCP/IP, Bisync, and other communication protocols

Windows®, Linux® (Intel®,
IBM® zSeries)

- Highly Satisfied Customers
TPS® TODAY
In keeping with today’s
customer needs, TPS® is
developing new products that enhance Internet and Intranet initiatives.
Although TPS® products are not “Applications” in
the true sense of the word, a number of TPS® products
work extremely well with Client applications or projects to include
credit card / payment authorization; Mainframe re-hosting; Web-to-host
access; ATM for Banking; SNA to IP conversion; SP server consolidation;
and peer-to-peer file transfer. In addition, TPS®’s
newer products have the ability to interface with the mainframe.
These products may either simplify procedures on the mainframe or
provide the ability to offload work from the mainframe. These products
continue the trend of TPS® to provide
our customers with state-of-the-art systems while still providing
them the choice of protocols and the ability to move among them effortlessly.
This has always been the mission of TPS® and will continue
to be such. TPS®’s current software offerings
are available for IBM® AIX®, HP-UX™,
Sun® Solaris, Linux®, Windows®,
and SCO® UnixWare 7 and OpenServer 5. In addition, a
number of these support IBM® zSeries and iSeries Linux®,
IBM® OS/390, IBM® 4690 and
Stratus.
TPS® FUTURE
TPS® is continuing to develop new browser-based
solutions. These products are designed to run with various protocols
concurrently. This will provide those companies currently using SNA
or other protocols, but planning to migrate to TCP/IP, a means to
ease that migration. These, and future, products will be designed
with substantial customer input. TPS® plans to continue
to work with customers to find better ways to integrate the Extranet,
Intranet, Internet, internal networks, and enterprise systems. TPS®
will evaluate the development of any connectivity project brought
to us. TPS® is also working
with its Business and Alliance Partners on middle-ware solutions
to enhance their core products for new networking initiatives to
support wireless communication, micro devices, RFID, J2EE, etc.
